We have delivered lightning protection rods for lightning suppression to the deep-sea exploration vessel "Chikyu," owned by the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology. The PDCE lightning rod, installed on a 120m tall derrick, forms a barrier that completely covers the vessel (length 210m), preventing lightning strikes within its range. This ensures that "Chikyu" is always protected from lightning strikes, no matter where it conducts research on Earth.
